Friendly Manatee Surprises Kayaker In Mosquito Lagoon

Nature has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. This was certainly the case for one woman kayaking at Mosquito Lagoon in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

While she paddled through the tranquil waters, she had an experience she will never forget—a friendly manatee approached her for an up-close and personal encounter.

The woman noticed a gentle ripple in the water beside her kayak. Moments later a curious manatee surfaced, its whiskered snout just inches away.
