A man had an alligator in his front yard and decided to perform his own "catch and release" without calling for professional assistance. Using a large garbage bin, he managed to successfully trap the gator inside and set it free without injury.

The video has garnered millions of views across social media platforms.

"That was extremely dangerous, careless and downright reckless for the gator to challenge Florida man," one commenter joked.
