The 2022 World Cup's final group stage game between USA and Iran ended with a victory for the Americans.

Iran, who only needed to tie to advance to the next round, will be heading home after the 1-0 loss.

Iranian star Ramin Rezaeian was in tears on the field after the final whistle. That's when USA's Antonee Robinson walked up and embraced his opponent.

"When the US and Iran can embrace with such compassion like this, it’s a symbol of the highest and truest part of our humanity," one user wrote on social media.
