Two Beachgoers Rescue A Distressed Pelican That is Tangled In Fishing Line

Two heroes rescued a pelican that was tangled up in fishing line.

Serena said her husband noticed the pelican was in distress and went to investigate.

"We spent the afternoon at the beach and Shaun and our friend Nathan saved a pelican," Serena wrote on Instagram. "Poor thing was tangled up in fishing line."

Shaun usually doesn't carry a knife on him, but on this day he did.

"Later I asked Shaun if he always brings a knife to the beach and he said no. I'm so glad he had one on him this time," Serena added.
