No One Thought This Kitten Was Going To Make It. Now, He's Stealing Our Hearts

A litter of kittens in very bad health were dropped off at Fabulous Felines Rescue NWA, a nonprofit cat rescue organization in Bentonville, Arkansas. There was little hope that they would all survive.

The runt of the litter, Stuart Little, was in the worst condition with severe eye infections, malnourishment and a flea infestation. Volunteers thought he was already dead...

On the first day, the staff cleaned and medicated the little kitten's eyes. Stuart Little weighed under 3 ounces. His brothers and sisters each weighed about 9 ounces. Here he is next to a chapstick for comparison...

And here he is on Day 12, growing fast...

At 5 weeks old, Stuart is chowing down thanks to surrogate mom Bessie.
