Customers Line Up Before Sunrise to Support Young Woman's Front Porch Bakery

July 11, 2026

Long before the sun comes up each Saturday, a line begins to form outside a home in Frisco, Texas. Neighbors and visitors from across North Texas bring lawn chairs, sip coffee, and patiently wait for one thing.

Fresh baked treats from a 21-year-old entrepreneur whose front porch bakery has become a local sensation.

Angela Henson is the owner of Little Bit Bakery, a home based business that has captured hearts along with taste buds. Thanks to Texas' Cottage Food Law, she is able to bake everything from her own kitchen and sell directly to customers. The response has been so overwhelming that many of her most popular items disappear within just a few hours.

That success starts while most people are still asleep.

"I'll wake up really early. I would say my average time is 2:30 in the morning... around 3," Henson said. "I'll bake, stock it up and just have it ready to go for 8 a.m. or whenever I open."

Her menu changes each week but often features fresh sourdough bread, English muffins, cinnamon rolls, and the oatmeal cream pies that regular customers have come to love.

The bakery's growing popularity has been fueled by social media, where thousands of followers keep an eye out for each week's menu. Experienced customers know that showing up early is often the only way to avoid missing out.

"We were way down there," customer Delilah Navarette said while remembering her first visit. "We had no idea how early we had to get here. We were worried we might not get anything."

For many, the early morning wait has become part of the experience.

"She is amazing. I love everything about what she's doing. Her goodies... I don't know what she does and what she puts in them, but they are phenomenal," said repeat customer Dana Eagle. "And they're well worth the wait. We got here a little after six o'clock this morning."

Little Bit Bakery began during the COVID-19 pandemic when Henson discovered a passion for baking and started creating custom cakes from home. Last September, she expanded the business by rolling a bakery cart onto her front porch, creating a charming neighborhood bakery that quickly attracted a devoted following.

As demand has grown, so has the bakery. Henson now bakes around 85 loaves of sourdough bread and nearly 100 English muffins on a typical Saturday. She recently invested in larger equipment to help keep up with the crowds.

"I was able to get a bread oven, which has been probably the biggest game changer of my entire life," Henson said. "I wouldn't be able to push out this much product at all without those things."

While customers come for the fresh baked bread and pastries, many say they also come because they genuinely want to see Henson succeed.

"I think we're kind of all her aunties, wishing her the best and supporting her," Navarette said.

It's a reminder that sometimes the sweetest ingredient isn't just what's coming out of the oven. It's an entire community cheering on a young woman who turned her passion into something that brings people together every weekend.
