Eagles Fan Loses Wallet At Game — Kind Stranger Goes Above And Beyond To Return It

September 10, 2025

A couple visiting Philadelphia for their very first Eagles game left with more than just memories of the season opener — they experienced a true act of kindness that reminded them why it’s called the "City of Brotherly Love."

Marianne Stephens and her husband had flown in from west Texas to cheer on their favorite team. But in the middle of the excitement at Lincoln Financial Field, her husband dropped his wallet. With thousands of fans in the stadium, they assumed it was gone forever.

Enter Christina, a stadium employee who spotted the wallet on her way out after the game.

Instead of ignoring it, she went the extra mile — literally. She found the couple’s hotel keycard, called multiple Hilton locations until she reached them, and then turned her car around (even though she was already 15 minutes outside the city) to deliver it back in person.

By the time they met up, it was 2 a.m. in Center City. Marianne joked that Christina’s husband wanted “proof” of why she was at a motel in the middle of the night, so they snapped a picture together.

When the couple offered her a reward, Christina finally accepted — only to donate the money straight to the Eagles Autism Foundation.

Wanting to spread the good news, Marianne posted the story in a Philadelphia Eagles fan group on Facebook. She wrote:

"I had to share my story about an Amazing employee at the Linc! We flew in from Texas to go to our first NFL game and of course it was to see our favorite Eagles! While at the game my husband dropped his wallet. It wasn’t the money or the credit card we were so worried about, it was the driver’s license to get back home! We seriously thought we would never see it again! Walking into our hotel lobby I received a phone call, didn’t realize we were talking to the hotel clerk that was right there. A wonderful lady that worked at the Linc, was heading home when she found it outside the gates! She called the hotel and left her information! She was 15 minutes outside of the city heading home, she actually turned back around and brought it to us at the Hotel! This is two in the morning! We wanted to reward her and she wouldn’t take the reward. Finally, she took it to donate the money to the Eagles Autism Foundation! Your city is definitely 'The City Of Brotherly Love!' Thank you so much Christina! We are forever grateful!"
