Steel City Twinz: 6-Year-Old Brothers Spreading Joy With 'Sunshine In A Cup'
May 29, 2025
Today's good news story comes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Meet the Steel City Twinz—6-year-old twin brothers Major and Mehki Muhammad—who are serving up more than just lemonade across Pittsburgh. Every weekend, these young entrepreneurs set up shop in different neighborhoods with a simple mission: to bring people together through kindness and community.

Their stand offers what they lovingly call “sunshine in a cup,” a homemade lemonade crafted from scratch in a variety of creative flavors like mango, lavender, and kiwi. But their goal goes far beyond just quenching thirst.
“The best part is seeing people smile, and when they try our lemonade, we love seeing their faces light up and knowing that we are making them feel better,” Major said.
The twins fund the ingredients themselves, receiving only a little guidance from their mom, Sahira Muhammad, who also homeschools them. Sahira’s goal has been to teach her sons confidence, discipline, and the value of entrepreneurship—lessons the boys have taken to heart.
Their lemonade is donation-based, allowing customers to pay what they can or what they want. This inclusive approach helps ensure that no one is left out of the experience.
“We want to make sure everyone feels special and loved,” Mehki said.
With over 4,000 followers on Instagram, the Steel City Twinz are quickly becoming local legends—spreading happiness, one cup at a time.
