In a remarkable display of courage and quick thinking, a bus driver in Aurora saved the lives of 14 children after their school bus caught fire on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Aurora Fire Rescue, the bus was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. Thanks to the bus driver's swift actions, all 14 children were safely evacuated without injury.
As the bus driver was making a turn, he noticed smoke emerging through the dashboard. Without hesitation, he pulled the bus over and immediately assisted the children in evacuating. His calm and decisive actions ensured that everyone was safely off the bus before the fire could spread further.
Aurora Fire Rescue quickly extinguished the blaze, and their investigation revealed that the fire started in the engine compartment and was accidental.
In a statement, Aurora Fire Rescue praised the bus driver, stating, "The outcome of this incident could have been tragic, but the quick and effective actions of the bus driver and firefighters were truly heroic."
