Initiated in October 2021 by popular YouTubers MrBeast and Mark Rober, the project aimed to tackle the mounting issue of ocean pollution by pledging to remove one pound of trash for every dollar donated.

The response was overwhelming. Donations quickly soared to approximately $33 million, enabling TeamSeas to far exceed its initial goal. Partnering with renowned organizations The Ocean Cleanup and Ocean Conservancy, the project galvanized more than 112,000 volunteers from over 200 countries to join the cleanup effort.

As the project continues to inspire and mobilize people worldwide, the success of TeamSeas serves as a beacon of hope for future environmental initiatives. The significant reduction in ocean pollution achieved through this campaign not only highlights the effectiveness of community-driven efforts but also emphasizes the importance of continued commitment to preserving our planet's natural resources.

"Team Seas is proof that when a huge amount of people get together to help make things better on this planet, big things can happen," MrBeast said.
