Police Officer Mows Lawn For Elderly Resident Amid Heat Wave

A police officer in North Carolina went above and beyond the call of duty by mowing the lawn for an elderly resident amidst scorching temperatures.

Amidst a sweltering heatwave that has gripped Wadesboro in recent days, Lieutenant Steven Kelly of the Wadesboro Police Department demonstrated true dedication to his community.
Concerned for the well-being of an older person who was struggling with the arduous task of maintaining their lawn, Officer Mitchell took it upon himself to make a positive impact.
"Lieutenant Steven Kelly was caught helping an elderly citizen who wasn't able to mow their lawn in this heat," the department said.
"This was no surprise to us because Lt. Kelly always goes above and beyond to help those in need. We are proud to say the Town of Wadesboro is a better place because of Lt. Kelly."
