On May 17, Norfolk officers responded to a crash where a woman had a seizure that caused her to hit a tree.
While first responders provided medical treatment to the woman, Officer Jordan Marksbury comforted her young daughter until family arrived to take the girl home.
Every month, the Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) division of the Department of Justice has a "Community Policing in Action" photo contest.
Officer Marksbury was named the winner for May 2022.
