April 1, 2021
A Delaware state trooper surprised a 9-year-old boy with a brand new pair of sneakers designed by Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Trooper Joshua Morris
Trooper Joshua Morris often plays basketball against youth in the area who challenge him.
A recent video of Morris went viral with help from his biggest fan, 9-year-old Ra'kir Allen.
Morris says he was drawn to Allen's spirit.
"His charisma, his character...I just loved," said Morris. "That reeks through his pores. I loved it."
So, Morris got in touch with Allen's mother and surprised him with a pair of Curry sneakers.
"Our video going viral because of you, you know that?" Morris says to Allen. "You're the best hype man...ever!"
Morris believes cops should never be strangers in the communities they serve. He said giving Allen the sneakers meant so much more.
"When he laces up those sneakers, he has somebody who believes in him. He has somebody who loves him. He has somebody that will be kind to him," Morris added.
