Search And Rescue Team Saves Calf Trapped In Canyon

A stranded calf was reunited with its mother after falling into a canyon in Utah.

Garfield County Search and Rescue received a call to dispatch stating that there was a calf that fell into a canyon and could not get out.
Sheriff Perkins had dispatch call out Garfield County Search and Rescue Rope Rescue Team to go and rescue the calf.

The dedicated team went into the canyon, hooked the calf up to the lift and successfully pulled the calf to safety.

"After being rescued this calf was looking for her mother because she was hungry. Her mom wasn't far away and will be glad to see her calf," Sheriff Perkins wrote.
"Garfield County Search and Rescue Team is amazing and will always go and help people or animals when they are called."
