Eden Reforestation Projects is a nonprofit whose mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration. They hire "the poorest of the poor" to rebuild natural landscapes destroyed by deforestation.

The organization employs thousands of local villagers and provides them with the education and tools necessary to plant, grow, and protect to maturity, millions of trees each year.

In a groundbreaking reforestation announcement, CEO Steve Fitch announced the organization has planted 250 million trees throughout all their project nations.

"And in a few years, we're going to be 250 million trees per year," Fitch says.
