Las Vegas Commercial Enforcement Trooper Freeman was working a Joint Commercial Enforcement check point in Reno when a German Shepherd strolled in, the Nevada Highway Patrol said in a Facebook post.
Freeman and the dog formed a bond as the shepherd was "quite skittish" around the troopers.
But Animal Control was contacted and they took control of the shepherd.
