Miracle Home Saves Lives Of Hospital Evacuees During Wildfire
November 23, 2018
A California woman says her home "served its purpose" after learning that her garage helped save lives during the deadly wildfire in Paradise, California.
Heather Roebuck had just given birth and was recovering from a cesarean section at Feather River Hospital when the fire came to town, torching everything in its path. The hospital was forced to evacuate.
While fleeing Paradise, Heather's ambulance caught fire. She made "the call" to her husband, accepting that she wasn't going to make it.
Out of nowhere, a fire chief appeared and drove her to a home, which became a makeshift hospital for hosptal evacuees.
After two horrifying hours, the fire finally passed over the house. The homes directly next door burned to the ground.
