In February, Ellen DeGeneres' wife Portia surprised her with an incredible 60th birthday gift: a wildlife foundation set up in her name.

The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund protects and supports endangered gorillas in Rowanda, a mission Ellen is very passionate about.

On Wednesday, Ashton Kutcher made a surprise appearance on The Ellen Show along with his investment partner, Guy Oseary.

While explaining that they've invested in a tech company called Ripple, Kutcher reveals that the business is making a very generous donation to The Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund.

"You explained to me that if you weren't doing this that what you would be working on is that project, right? You would be saving the gorillas," Kutcher told Ellen. "But you never ask anyone for anything ever and you said 'At some point I'm going to need some help with this.' And I said, 'You're asking me for help? You never ask anyone for help ever!' "

Kutcher continues to praise Ellen for her kindness and generosity before unveiling the big donation.
