A couple in Sarasota, FL, woke up to see a huge alligator floating in their private pool.
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Department responded to the call Friday night about the 11-foot alligator and posted photos and video online of the massive home intruder.
The officers are unsure how the gator got into the swimming pool, which is completely screened in.
After a brief struggle, deputies and a trapper managed to remove it.
While most people around the country would freak out upon seeing an 11-foot alligator in their pool, the department says it was just another day in Florida.
Dear internet who seems to be freaking out over the 11-foot #gator:

Understand it’s just a #FloridaThing! We wear bathing suits & flip flops year-round. We buy sunscreen in bulk and well, we ride gators growing up. #ItsJustOurWayOfLife #HowWeDoItInTheSouth #NotAprilFools 🤠pic.twitter.com/6Fg5nWSL38
