Every Single Teacher On A Crowdfunding Site Just Got Their School Project Funded

Ripple, a cryptocurrency company, has donated $29 million to DonorsChoose.org, a donation platform that connects people to classroom needs across the country.

The donation covers every single project on the crowdfunding site - 35,647 requests, from 28,210 teachers at 16,561 public schools.

Teachers across the country are thrilled to see their projects funded.

Maria Hernandez, a teacher at Helms Elementary in Houston, was brought to tears by the good news.

According to Ripple's website, the donation will affect approximately 1 million public school students.

"At Ripple, we care about giving back to our community and we collectively value the importance of quality education in developing the next generation of leaders," Ripple's SVP of Marketing Monica Long said in a statement.
