108-Year-Old Man Says The Key To A Long And Happy Life Is A Good Wife

Esmond Allcock of Saskatchewan, Canada, celebrated his 108th birthday on January 26.

His secret to living a long, happy and healthy life? Select a good spouse.

When Esmond was asked how he managed to live a long and happy life, he replied, "I didn't behave myself for a few years there, but then I got a really good wife."

Esmond and his wife Helen were married 72 years. She passed away seven years ago.

Esmond worked as a farmer before retiring in 1975. He currently lives in an assisted living residence. On Friday, employees threw Esmond a birthday party.

"Oh they nearly drove me nuts. They probably took 100 pictures of me," he laughingly told CBC.
