Monster Spider Holds Couple Hostage In Their Own Home
July 26, 2017
Lauren Ansell from Queensland, Australia, returned home on Sunday to find a giant spider sitting on the sliding glass door to her patio.
Ansell said the Huntsman spider was as large as a dinner plate and very "unhappy," The Sunshine Coast Daily reported.

"[The spider] was preventing us from using our barbecue," she said. "We made it unhappy as we tried to move it so we could cook."

Ansell's boyfriend even held their cat up near the spider to show its size.
Ansell said the spider eventually ran off into the garden.
"We nicknamed the spider 'Aragog' from Harry Potter, and feel the spider has run into the forbidden forest."
