A video of a young girl running to her father during a homecoming ceremony for the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team has melted the hearts of millions of Facebook users.

The three year-old, wearing sparkling gold boots and a US-flag inspired dress, couldn't wait for the ceremony to be over to hug her father, Lt. Daniel Ogelsby, in Fort Carson, Colorado, who had just returned from Southwest Asia.

"That's the toughest part of the entire job is to be away from the family," Ogelsby told Today. "Having that reunion, it doesn't make up for the lost time, but it's definitely a sweet moment to finally be able to see them and embrace them again."
