Six Police Officers Took The Daughter Of A Fallen Colleague To Her Father-Daughter Dance

Not one, but six police officers attended a father-daughter dance with 8 year-old Jewel Warren, whose father, Tim Warren, died in the line of duty four years ago.

"We know we cannot replace Tim, but we can be there for his family when we are needed," Memphis Police Officer Amensaid said in a statement. "It was truly an honor."

But the show of support didn't end with local police. Area businesses donated flowers and photography to the cause, and a regional police association donated money for Jewel's dress and transportation.

Amanda Swain, who donated her photography services to the event, told TODAY.com:

"They most definitely made sure that night will never be forgotten. I know I won't forget it, and I'm positive Officer Warren smiled several times as he looked on from above."
