He Runs Up To A Disabled Boy Falling Behind In The Race. What Happens Next Is Beautiful
June 23, 2015
It was race day at Colonial Hills Elementary School in Columbus, Ohio. As the students took off, one fell behind quickly - 11 year-old Matt Woodrum who has Cerebral Palsy.
Matt was told he didn't have to participate in the 400 meter race. However, Matt was determined to not only run the race, but also keep up with his classmates.
At one point in the race, Matt started slowing down, and it looked as if he wouldn't make it another step. That's when gym teacher John Blaine did something special, and it was all caught on film by Matt's mother.
