She Made $15,000 In One Day Off Her Lemonade Stand. The Reason Why Is Amazing
May 18, 2015
To a 10 year-old girl this was a dream come true - a crowd so large at her lemonade stand that officers had to direct traffic.
But it's the reason why that's truly beautiful.

Two years ago, a fire destroyed her home.

The De Le Sala family could do nothing but watch.

They paid contractors to rebuild the home, but the company never finished the job. They took the money and ran, leaving the family to pick up the pieces.
Alyssa, heartbroken seeing her parents suffer, took it upon herself to raise money to rebuild their home. She wrote a letter to The Kane Show asking if they could help advertise her lemonade stand.

The radio station did more than she ever imagined. People began showing up, paying $500, even $1,000 for a cup of lemonade.

Not only did strangers give, the first responders to the fire made an appearance.

Deputies reached out to local businesses - countless came through with boxes and boxes of supplies.

One customer, who received a strawberry lemonade, asked Alyssa jokingly, "If life gave you lemons, why did you make strawberry lemonade?"
Alyssa responded, "Well, sometimes life also gives you strawberries!"
Alyssa has made over $15,000 so far with her lemonade sales and a Go Fund Me page she set up for donations. If you would like to help her cause, you can donate here.
