The Sweetest Surprise: One Quarter At A Time
By Sunny Skyz • May 5, 2025
Here’s a heartwarming idea that proves small gestures can make a big impact — and bring big smiles.
Someone online shared a simple habit that’s been spreading joy to random kids: leaving quarters in candy machines at stores or restaurants.
“I like to leave quarters in the candy machines for little kids,” they wrote. “I’ll do it on the way into a store or restaurant, and on the way out. sometimes as you’re coming out of a store, you get to see a kid that’s discovered the free quarters and is having a field day turning the knobs. It’s great..”
It’s such a small act, but one that turns an ordinary moment into something magical for a child.
Feeling inspired? Next time you're out, drop a quarter or two and see who you can make smile.
