Meal Delivery Service And Kindness
By a friend • December 9, 2024
I use a meal delivery service. Monday is the day I get my meal box for the week, and this past week the box did not arrive. The service sent me a notification saying the box had been delivered, along with GPS coordinates. Turns out the box was delivered miles away from where I live.
Now, I don’t in the least blame the delivery person for this. That job is nuts and it’s easy to get confused. I was a bit disappointed that when I called support, all they did was offer me a refund; nothing about getting the food I’d ordered for the week.
This evening I heard a knock on my door and went to see who was there. What I found was the food delivery box on my porch. Which means the person who received the box took the time to bring it all the way across town to my place.
Thank you, whoever you are, for this act of kindness.
