Poo It Forward
By Les • April 5, 2012
Sometimes hikers leave bags of poo on the side of the trail, thinking that they will come back for them. Unfortunately, they tend to forget. Unfortunately, I tend to forget. One day, I did just that. By the time I remembered, I was in my car and just about to head home. Sighing heavily from guilt, I headed back up about a quarter mile where I remembered leaving my icky package. It was gone. Someone had picked it up on their way down and disposed of it for me. From then on, I have taken extra bags with me on my hikes rescued the unintentionally abandoned poo bags on the side of the trail. Knowing that I have done that same thing myself before makes me more understanding of the oversights of others. Poo it forward!
