My Daughter Was Planning To Visit From Pittsburgh To California

By Denise • May 14, 2024

My daughter was planning to visit from Pittsburgh to California with my grandchild, and I wanted a backpack to carry him on the beautiful hikes we have here in Southern California.

I posted on a neighborhood app asking to borrow one, promising to return it in the same condition.

Almost immediately, a neighbor responded. She came over, handed me a backpack, and insisted it was a gift. I tried to offer her money or promise to return it, but she wouldn't accept it. Instead, she just asked me to pass along the kindness.

Her generosity was truly heartwarming. It made my grandbaby, my daughter, and me feel incredibly special.
