She Told Me I Was Doing A Good Job

Today I was at shopping centre waiting for my mum to arrive for lunch. While we were waiting my 2 year old decided to absolutely loose her biscuits and I ended up leaving. We got to the car and she decided to loose it even more, I was trying to get her in her car seat, and as anyone would know toddlers can be so strong she didn’t want to get in the seat. She was fighting it screaming and crying, I was getting upset and angry as well. This went for a few minutes I didn’t know what to do.
Then a lovely lady turned up at my car door and asked if she could help me. I said thank you but no I just needed to get her in the car. This lovely lady spoke to me and my daughter and tried to help with us. I eventually got in the car, the lady still standing there making sure we were ok. When I closed the car door offered to see if there was anything else she could help me with, I said no thank you I just wanted to get home. I explained my daughter has been very testing lately and it’s just been hard. She told me it’s ok kids are hard and things do get better. She told me I was doing a good job. When I heard that I got quite upset, she then hugged me and told me again I was doing a good job. She made sure we were all ok and she went on her way.
I just want to say to this beautiful women. Thank you so much for helping today. Your kind words meant the absolute world. Being a mum is bloody hard and when she turned up at my door I wasn’t expecting her to be so kind and loving. Thank you to this beautiful lady you have no idea how much I needed to hear this and it’s nice to know that other parents just get it.
