We Only Had Money For Fries

By A Friend • January 6, 2022

My little brother and I were broke while driving to McDonalds to get my son some fries. Literally, all we had was money for that.

When we pulled up to the window to receive our purchase, the cashier looked sad (and I don't blame her). Then she looked at me and recognized me from our old high school. She tells us to wait for her to return.

When she did return she handed us a bag of burgers and nuggets, one with fries, and another with snacks. Then she asked us what we wanted to drink. She gave us two milkshakes and two cokes.

Forever grateful.
