A Kind Gesture When I Needed It
By Jen • October 14, 2021
My husband has been working 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, for over a month. On October 2nd, my 15 year old had a syncope episode, and hit her head on the ground when she fainted. She has been recovering from a concussion ever since. Thankfully, nothing more serious is going on with her.
I’ve been battling an issue with my foot, and have been wearing a boot since July. It has gotten so bad, that I’ve had to quit my job as a childcare provider, since my podiatrist recommended being off my foot for it to heal. I also have physical therapy three times per week.
Imagine my surprise when I looked out the window to see my neighbor mowing our lawn this afternoon, on his riding mower! My husband just hasn’t had the time, with his work schedule. Obviously I’m spread thin between caring for my daughter, and my foot. I just haven’t had the time (and honestly, I probably shouldn’t be mowing anyway.)
What a kind gesture, when I needed it!
