I'd just taken a ticket at the deli counter of the local supermarket and was waiting. A few people were at the machine behind me, taking turns to get their ticket also.

As my number was called, an older man at the counter looked disappointed when he realised he'd forgotten to get one.

I gave him mine, then almost immediately the lady who had followed me gave me hers, which started a chain reaction of about ten people.

When it ended we all burst out laughing and the deli staff were laughing too, saying they'd never seen that happen before!
