I've Been Taking A Mile-long Walk Every Morning For A Week Now
By a friend • October 22, 2020
Every day, I roll out of bed, put my headphones on, and listen to a podcast while walking the same mile-long route around my neighborhood. First thing in the morning. This morning I got from the 22 minutes it took me last week down to 18.
My wakeup time is half an hour earlier than it was before and I'm even naturally waking up before my alarm now without making me feel more tired. I feel productive before I've even started my day and proud that I actually get fresh air and exercise every single day, which I haven't gotten regularly since March. I can't believe how quickly and easily I formed a habit, and even skipping one day from time constraints didn't make me fall off the wagon. I'm proud of myself.
