Life, Love, And Tough Choices
By anonymous • March 24, 2017
When I was younger, I used to think that love was like a Disney movie. At first seemed hard, but they got better and never got bad again. I thought as a little kid that relationships were easy, and everyone would like us, and that nothing was bad in the world. Boy was I in for a rude awakening. We all want to think that everything is perfect, we all want to think that the world is a good place and that all good relationships are forever, but thats just not reality. I personally have experienced so many difficult relationships in my life: some I wish I'd skipped, some I'm glad I had, and some I'm still not sure. All I know is that now, I would never go back and change a single thing. Sure, I have regrets, but doesn't everyone? Isn't that what makes us who we are, what shapes us as we come to learn who we are, and what we want to become?
Recently I lost two relationships that were extremely important to me, both I'm still working to get back. Whether this is right or wrong thing to do, I don't know. If I earn these relationships back will I be heading down a bad path that could have been prevented so easily, and just suffer the pain now instead? Life doesn't come with a handbook (as awesome as that would be) because we are faced with important decisions for a reason. What this reason is? To learn and grow. Other than that, answers may vary depending on who you are.
Personally I am a religious person. I believe that life is a test to see whether you decide to make the right or wrong choices. Whether you listen to that still small voice or follow what you can sense is wrong. But what you might have noticed there is some fault in my analysis. Not all choices can be recognized as wrong or right. Such as what outfit you decide to wear in a day. Don't think to hard about the actual example but rather how something so small and insignificant can change your life completely. Maybe you wear a glamorous outfit and get noticed by a big time direct or as something special and 'bow chicka wow wow' your a celebrity. Or maybe you stick with jeans and a t-shirt and that life is being lived by someone else. These are just a very small amount of my thoughts about life, but I hope you can get something out of it.
Thanks.
