The Boy With The Backwards Heart
By KM • November 30, 2016
On March 7th, 1999 a miracle was born. He looked like an average baby crying, chubby, cute. The doctors were about to send him home one day when they noticed his left ear was deformed. This may not sound like a big deal right? They did tests on the boy and discovered he had a rare heart condition known as Tetralogy of Fallot. Doctors didn't think he was going to make it. However he kept suprising them. Ever since he was little he wanted to do sports. However the doctors wouldn't let him because it was to unsafe for his heart. Three surgeries later he is still wanting to do sports. He never gave up. Now he is 17 years old and probably the strongest person you will ever meet. He has done one of the most amazing things. He fought for his will to play in a sport and the doctor finally allowed him. He became a wrestler and everytime he stepped on the mat you knew that he was a winner. Along with wrestling hes a sprinter and a thrower in high school track. People let little things stop them from going after what they want. If someone who has a 50 percent chance of living can work that hard to do something he wants. Then you can do anything you put your mind to. Never give up. He never did and neither should you.
