The Risk Might Be Worth It!

I planted two viable seeds in my backyard. They lay side by side in the fertile soil. The first says “I want to grow! I want to send my roots deep into the soil beneath me, and thrust my sprouts through the earth’s crust above me, I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my face and the blessing of the morning dew on my petals!” And she grew. The second seed says, “am afraid. If I send my roots into the ground below, I don’t know what I will encounter in the dark. If I push my way through the hard soil above me I may damage my delicate sprouts what if I let my buds open and a snail tries to eat them? And if I were to open my blossoms, a small child may pull me from the ground. No, it is much better for me to wait until it is safe.” A yard hen scratching around in the early spring ground for food found the waiting seed and promptly ate it.
The one thing I ask myself occasionally is –what if it works? What if my plan of a perfect life works? What if I just give it a chance and go full-heartedly after it?. What if I stop focusing on the worst that can happen and go for the best that can happen? What if I go after my dream life? It seems to me that people have vast potential. Most people can do extraordinary things if they have the confidence to take the risk. Yet most people don’t. They sit in front of the television and treat life like it goes on forever. There are myriads of people sitting on the couch saying, ‘I’m gonna’….They will do it when their finances are perfect, when they get married, when their children are perfectly grown, when they get a job. The truth is, your life can never be perfect. Part of it might be though. You will always be adjusting in some areas of life to fit into another. Step away from the couch sitters who are awaiting a single perfect day to begin living their dreams. !
Have enough faith to believe in God and in yourself and know that together, the two of you can do anything!. Those who refuse to risk and grow get swallowed up by life eventually. As for those who will step further to make a dare and stake their lives on a worthy course…to them belongs the REWARD.
