I Love You
By Katherine • February 25, 2013
This past weekend, my husband and I took a trip to Virginia to celebrate my niece, Sadie's 1st birthday. It was a weekend of family bonding and fun.
We take our dog, Tater, a french bulldog, with us on every trip since she gets along so well with the kids.
Watching the kids and dog interact and follow each other around is a bundle of joy. Whenever Sadie crawls around the house, the dog follows closely behind, almost as though she is watching over her.
My 4 year-old niece Mavis likes to play fetch with her. Although at times she gets scared, she loves to toss her favorite toys and watch as Tater retrieves them.
The moment that made my entire weekend was this. As Mavis was playing with Tater, I watched as she leaned down, gave her a sweet hug, and whispered in her ear, "I love you Tater Dog"
My heart melted and I realized right then and there that it's the little moments in life that mean everything.
