I Didn't Just Give Him Money
By Mike • January 30, 2015
A homeless man walked up to me today in Memphis and told me he was hungry and needed money. Instead of giving him money, we walked a block down and enjoyed a couple of hotdogs and sodas together. He teared up during our chat, thanking me a hundred times.
The craziest thing was that it was one of the best conversations I've had with someone in a long time. He taught me not to judge, and I'm thankful for that.
