Meet Fitz – The Adventure Cat Who Loves Sleigh Rides And Hikes In The Snow

Most cats are happiest curled up in a warm spot indoors — but not Fitz.

This two-year-old feline from Southern Ontario has a taste for adventure, and snow days are his favorite.

Fitz’s owner, Heidi, says her fearless cat not only enjoys the cold but actually asks to go outside almost every evening. Outfitted in tiny boots, a jacket, goggles, and even handmade knit hats to keep his ears warm, Fitz looks like a true winter explorer.

“Fitz tolerates heavy snow just fine,” Heidi shared. “He has begun asking almost every evening to go outside starting a new tradition of doing his night business outside.”

Fitz’s adventurous spirit started young.

“When Fitz was just 10 weeks old, I wrapped him in a blanket and put him in a shoulder pouch and we hiked,” Heidi said. “Slowly he became braver and started walking the hiking trails with me.”

And his favorite activity? Going for sleigh rides—pulled by the family dog!

Now, this snow-loving kitty is building a fanbase online, where people can follow his chilly escapades at @fitzcapades.
