Heartbroken Child Writes 7-Page Letter After Giving Up Her Beloved Cat
April 17, 2025
"I will miss him but if he's happy I'm happy."
When a 1-year-old cat named Bootsie was surrendered to a shelter, he didn’t come alone—he came with a 7-page letter written by a heartbroken child who had raised him since he was a kitten.
The young girl had to say goodbye to her beloved pet, and in an emotional gesture, she poured her heart into the letter, telling Bootsie’s future adopter everything they needed to know about him.

Though the reason for the surrender wasn’t shared, it’s clear this wasn’t just a pet—it was her best friend. Bootsie now waits for a new home, carrying with him a little girl’s love in every page.
