Naughty Dog Finds Forever Home After Shelter's Hilarious Post
March 12, 2024
Meet Eddie, a mischievous 17-pound pup who recently found his forever home after a shelter's hilariously candid post about him went viral.

The Humane Society of Wichita County took an unconventional approach to showcase Eddie's personality, months after a previous "more honest" approach failed to find him a home.
This is what they wrote:
This is Eddie, Eddie is an a$$hole 💩Eddie hates other dogs, he's 17 pounds and could take on a Rottweiler and win. If Eddie had an accent, he would sound like he's from the Bronx, wearing a wife beater t-shirt and a tattoo that says MOM on his arm. If you got into a bar fight, Eddie would back you up and take on all 5 guys, put his cigarette out on their forehead and not spilling a drop of his beer while doing it. So, if you think you are man enough to adopt him, please be our guest. We want Eddie out of here because he scares our big dogs.
Surprisingly, instead of deterring potential adopters, the humor and candid description only increased Eddie's appeal. The shelter was inundated with hundreds of adoption applications for the spirited pup. The following day, Eddie's life took a heartwarming turn as he found his forever home with Linda Brooks and her 15-year-old daughter, Taryn.
The connection between Eddie and his new family was instant, as Taryn recalls, "When we went to the place to go get him, he was just already attached to us. He was already laying in my arms and everything."
