Last week, zookeepers noticed a suspicious change in the tooth of a female snow leopard named Juma.

"The expert's analysis of the picture was that it needs a little correction before it starts bothering Juma, so on Friday Juma was taken to the familiar Takala animal clinic in Nurmo for dental treatment," the zoo wrote on its website.

Juma underwent root canal treatment on the second lower molar and had fillings placed to prevent infections.

Juma is now recovering from the trip in his own shelter and has already returned to his normal activities, the zoo reported.
