Man Checks Single Can Of Beer After Airline Tells Him He Can't Board With It
July 1, 2019
An Australian man arriving on a flight from Melbourne to Perth was delighted to see his luggage, a single can of beer, had arrived safely at baggage claim.

Dean Stinson did it as a joke but was pleasantly surprised the can arrived in perfect condition.
The can arrived, tagged and unopened, as the first item on the baggage carousel.

"It was sent out well in front of all the other luggage, so the baggage handlers obviously appreciated it," Stinson said.
"Sure enough there she was, alone on the carousel proudly making her way around. And there I was in my flanno and RMs to greet her. It was perfection," he said.

The airline, Qantas, said it did not encourage other travellers to follow suit.
"This guy's done it and he's won the internet for the day, so we're happy to move on," a spokesman said in a statement to the BBC.
