MoonPie Started Roasting People On Twitter And It's Hilarious
December 21, 2017

MoonPie, a family-owned company in the South that sells chocolate marshmallow pies, has become one of the top social media brands of 2017 thanks to their wholesome humor.
Even celebrities have taken notice and become fans.

MoonPie has been active on Twitter for years, but they really began to get attention after they owned Hostess during the 2017 solar eclipse with a simple two-word response.

MoonPie has made it clear that it doesn't matter how big or small you are, they will fight fire with fire.
Like subtly misspelling Brant's name on purpose.

They weren't afraid to roast a trash-talking teenage girl either.

Or this random guy.

But don't worry, MoonPie has been around for a long time and they can back it up.

Buzzfeed wrote that they've gone rogue but "that's a beautiful thing" — and we agree.

One afternoon MoonPie decided to write a play called "Moonpie" and asked fans what they think.

You really never know what to expect next.

But you can always count on MoonPie to stay wholesome.

Did you know?
MoonPie is kind of a big deal in the South.
Everyone knows about the giant crystal ball that descends in Times Square on New Year's Eve, but have you heard of the giant MoonPie over Mobile, Alabama that serves a similar purpose down South?
That's right, as midnight approaches on December 31 in downtown Mobile, a huge, shining, plastic MoonPie — measuring 12 feet across and weighing 350 pounds — drops from the top of the 34-story building.
