State Troopers Care For Baby Found Drenched In Vomit During DUI Stop
August 26, 2016
It must have been a heartbreaking sight during a routine traffic stop — a baby in the backseat, covered in vomit.
But West Virginia state troopers knew just what to do.

The baby was found after troopers pulled over a drunk driver. The 1-year-old was drenched in vomit, so the child was taken back to police headquarters. There, Senior Trooper D.C Graham cleaned the child up in a sink, wrapping the baby in a towel and watching over him until child protective services showed up.
"As a father myself, I couldn't let him sit in his own urine and feces and vomit," Graham said. "So I went ahead and drew a bath in the sink of the detachment and was able to clean him up a little bit and get him feeling a little bit better."
The child, who troopers suspect had been sick for awhile, appeared happy during the sink bath at headquarters.
The child is now with a legal guardian.
