A Beautiful Moment: 2 Year-Old Amputee Walks For The First Time, Says 'I Got It!'
July 8, 2014
Kayden, a 2 year-old that had his right foot and his left amputated in January, is learning how to walk for the first time with prosthetics.
Kayden was born with an omphalocele, a type of hernia that sometimes leaves organs to grow outside the navel. Kayden's omphalocele wasn't as large as doctors originally predicted, but a band wrapped around his legs and led to deformities that made amputations necessary.
