Meet The 'Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge', An Officer Who Saved Hundreds Of People From Jumping
February 12, 2019
Police officer Kevin Briggs has been dubbed the "Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge" for talking more than 200 people out of jumping off it.
He spent his career patrolling the southern end of San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, a popular site for suicide attempts.
In a deeply personal TED talk, Briggs shares stories from those he's spoken — and listened — to standing on the edge of life, and gives powerful advice to those with loved ones who might be contemplating suicide.
