Music Teacher Sings Duet With Student With Down Syndrome

Robert Mullen, a music teacher in New Zealand, has dedicated his life to helping people with special needs. Mullen teaches his students with special needs how to play instruments and often posts videos of his lessons on Facebook.
In this video, he performs "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol with Alex, a 27-year-old man with Down syndrome.
In the middle of the song, Alex starts rapping – wowing viewers with his self-written lyrics.
"I have always been fascinated with the power music has and its ability to be able to unlock hidden treasures within people," Mullen said.
"I'm working with more people with learning disabilities or low self-esteem, using music and creativity to help them both express themselves and grow within their personal development."
